Chilli Paneer Gravy – This is an Indo-Chinese dish and specially taken as an evening snack or starter in its dry form. Today I am sharing it gravy recipe, for gravy we use corn flour water mixture to make gravy. You must love this form of chilli paneer. But go with fried rice or chowmein.

This Chilli Paneer Gravy is a fried cottage cheese cubes toasted in a sweet, sour atangy sauce. Can have main course dish or side dish both.

Ingredients

Directions

  • Dice cottage cheese (เคชเคจเฅ€เคฐ). Chop spring onion (เคนเคฐเฅ€ เคชเฅเคฏเคพเคœ), ginger (เค…เคฆเคฐเค•), and garlic (เคฒเคนเคธเฅเคจ). Slice capsicum (เคถเคฟเคฎเคฒเคพ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš). Slit green chillies (เคนเคฐเฅ€ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš). Dissolve 1 tbsp. cornflour (เค•เคพเคฐเฅเคจ เคซเฅเคฒเฅ‹เคฐ) in water. Keep aside.
  • In a bowl mix diced cottage cheese (เคชเคจเฅ€เคฐ), ยฝ tsp. black pepper (เค•เคพเคฒเฅ€ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš) powder, 2 tbsp. cornflour (เค•เคพเคฐเฅเคจ เคซเฅเคฒเฅ‹เคฐ) and salt as per taste.
  • Deep fry this coated cottage cheese (เคชเคจเฅ€เคฐ) till done, donโ€™t golden brown. Keep aside.
  • Heat sesame (เคคเคฟเคฒ) oil in heavy base pan and add chopped spring onions (เคนเคฐเฅ€ เคชเฅเคฏเคพเคœ); sautรฉ till spring onions (เคนเคฐเฅ€ เคชเฅเคฏเคพเคœ) become translucent.
  • Now add chopped ginger (เค…เคฆเคฐเค•), garlic (เคฒเคนเคธเฅเคจ) and sautรฉ till raw aroma goes away.
  • After that add sliced capsicum (เคถเคฟเคฎเคฒเคพ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš) slit green chillies (เคนเคฐเฅ€ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš). Sautรฉ till capsicum (เคถเคฟเคฎเคฒเคพ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš) half cooked.
  • Add crushed black pepper (เค•เคพเคฒเฅ€ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš), celery (เค…เคœเคตเคพเค‡เคจ) and pour water in it. Mix well.
  • Add soy sauce, pinch of sugar, ยฝ tsp. black pepper (เค•เคพเคฒเฅ€ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš) powder, red chilli (เคฒเคพเคฒ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš) powder and salt as per taste. Cook simmers for 2 minutes.
  • Add cornflour (เค•เคพเคฐเฅเคจ เคซเฅเคฒเฅ‹เคฐ) water in this mixture, mix well and cook till gravy thickens.
  • Add fried cottage cheese (เคชเคจเฅ€เคฐ) and cook simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped green part of spring onion (เคนเคฐเฅ€ เคชเฅเคฏเคพเคœ) and serve hot with fried rice or chowmin.
