Mysore Bonda

Mysore Bonda – मैसूर बोंडा who is also known as Ulundu Bonda, it is basically come from Mysore cuisine and a fried snack made up of all purpose flour (मैदा) and Rice flour (चावल का आटा). You can say it is another form of pakoda but in pakoda there is no use of rice flour.

This Mysore Special Mangalore Bonda or Mysore Bonda is great snack time treat. Can have with any kind of chutney.

Ingredients

Directions

  • Finely chop ginger (अदरक), green chilli (हरी मिर्च) and fresh coriander (हरा धनिया). Keep aside.
  • In deep bowl add all-purpose flour (मैदा), rice flour (चावल का आटा), baking soda, cumin seeds (जीरा) and salt as per taste. Mix well.
  • Now add curd (दही). Mix well. After that add water, mix well to make thick batter and no lumps.
  • Finally add finely chopped ginger (अदरक), green chilli (हरी मिर्च) and fresh coriander (हरा धनिया). Mix well.
  • Now keep this mixture to set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  • In pan heat oil, place some batter into the not so very hot oil with hand about 2 tbsp. Fry them until golden brown.
  • After turning golden brown place Mysore Bonda over a tissue paper in a plate and serve hot with coconut chutney, green pudina chutney or tomato ketchup.
