Malai means milk cream and peda means semi-soft pieces of sweet. It is a traditional Indian sweet, which is made up by khoya. But here I am making it with condensed milk; it’s a modern version of malai peda; as by this method it’s made quickly.

  • Milkmade (Sweetened Condensed Milk) - 1 tin (400 ml)
  • Dairy Whitener - 3 tbsp.
  • Milk - ½ cup (75 ml)
  • Corn flour - 1 tsp.
  • Lime juice - 2 tbsp.
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp.


  1. Mix together all the ingredients.
  2. Heat the mixture in a heavy bottom pan. Cook with content stirring till thick and the mixture starts leaving sides of the pan.
  3. Remove from fire and cool. Shape into pedas. Decorate with pisttas and serve.
