Ingredients
Tamarind (เคเคฎเคฒเฅ) – 100 grams
Jaggery (เคเฅเคกเคผ) – 100 grams
Cumin (เคเฅเคฐเคพ) powder – 1/4 tsp.
Black salt (เคเคพเคฒเคพ เคจเคฎเค) – 1/4 tsp.
Raisins (เคเคฟเคถเคฎเคฟเคถ) – 1 hand full (optional)
Water (เคชเคพเคจเฅ) as much required.
Salt (เคจเคฎเค)as per taste. (optional)
Directions
- Boil 1 cup water, turn off the heat and add tamarind (เคเคฎเคฒเฅ) in this water.
- Cover and keep it a side for 5-10 minutes until tamarind (เคเคฎเคฒเฅ) goes soften.
- Put this pan cover on heat and cook for next 10-15 minutes, stir in-between.
- Now turn off the heat and let this mixture cool in room temperature.
- In-between grate jaggery (เคเฅเคกเคผ) with the help of grater.
- When water and tamarind (เคเคฎเคฒเฅ) mixture cool enough to handle. With the help of sieve (เคเคฒเคจเฅ) strain this mixture to remove tamarind (เคเคฎเคฒเฅ) waste.
- Now again put this pulp mixture on heat and add grated jaggery (เคเฅเคกเคผ). Cook until jaggery (เคเฅเคกเคผ) melted completely. Stir constantly.
- Now turn off the heat and add red chilli (เคฒเคพเคฒ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเค) powder, cumin (เคเฅเคฐเคพ) powder, black salt (เคเคพเคฒเคพ เคจเคฎเค) and salt (เคจเคฎเค) to taste (if required). If you want add a handful of raisins (เคเคฟเคถเคฎเคฟเคถ).
- Let it cool completely in room temperature and serve with your Pakora, samosa or any evening snack.
