minutesThis Potato Onion Pakora is perfect for any winter tea time chit chat or small home tea party.
Ingredients
Potato (рдЖрд▓реВ) – 2 medium
Onion (рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ) – 2 medium
Gram flour (рдмреЗрд╕рди) – 6 tbsp.
Black pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) powder as per taste.
Red chilli flakes (рд▓рд╛рд▓ рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ рдХреЗ рджрд╛рдиреЗ) as per taste.
Chaat masala (рдЪрд╛рдЯ рдорд╕рд╛рд▓рд╛) as per taste.
Water (рдкрд╛рдиреА) as much requires.
Oil (рддреЗрд▓) for deep fry.
Salt (рдирдордХ) as per taste.
Directions
- Wash, peel and round thinly slice potato (рдЖрд▓реВ). Put in water, otherwise they start turning blackish.
- Peel and thinly slice onion (рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ).
- In a mixing bowl add gram flour (рдмреЗрд╕рди), cornflour (рдХреЙрд░реНрдирдлреНрд▓реЛрд░), black pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) powder to taste, red chilli flakes (рд▓рд╛рд▓ рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ рдХреЗ рджрд╛рдиреЗ) to taste, chaat masala (рдЪрд╛рдЯ рдорд╕рд╛рд▓рд╛) to taste and salt (рдирдордХ) as per taste. Mix well so all the ingredient mix well.
- Start adding little-little water and mixing. Make a not to thin and not to thick batter. Mix well so there is no lump.
- Now add sliced onion (рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ) and potato (рдЖрд▓реВ) into the batter and mix well with soft hand or gently with spoon.
- Heat the oil in a deep fry pan. Start adding each one by one with spoon or hand; fry till golden brown.
- When turns golden brown take potato (рдЖрд▓реВ) and onion (рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ) pakora in a plate top up with paper napkin.
- Serve hot with any sauce which you like.
