Ingredients
Black gram (рдХрд╛рд▓рд╛ рдЪрдирд╛) – 1 bowl
Kidney beans (рд░рд╛рдЬрдорд╛) – 1 bowl
Green coriander (рд╣рд░рд╛ рдзрдирд┐рдпрд╛) – few sprigs
Curry leaves (рдХрдбрд╝реА рдкрддреНрддрд╛) – Few sprigs
Tomato (рдЯрдорд╛рдЯрд░) – 2-3
Ginger (рдЕрджрд░рдХ) – 1-inch
Garlic (рд▓рд╣рд╕реБрди) – 10-12 cloves
Fresh cream (рддрд╛рдЬрд╛ рдХреНрд░реАрдо) – 1 tbsp.
Cashews (рдХрд╛рдЬреВ) – 3-4 (for garnish)
Almonds (рдмрд╛рджрд╛рдо) – 3-4 (for garnish)
Black pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) powder – as per taste
Cumin seeds (рдЬреАрд░рд╛) – 1/2 tsp.
Fresh Lemon juice (рдиреАрдВрдмреВ рдХрд╛ рд░рд╕) – few drops
Tomato ketchup – 1 tbsp.
Soya sauce – 1/2 tbsp
Oil (рддреЗрд▓) – 1 tbsp.
Salt (рдирдордХ) as per taste.
Directions
- Soak black gram (рдХрд╛рд▓рд╛ рдЪрдирд╛) and kidney beans (рд░рд╛рдЬрдорд╛) overnight in warm water.
- Next morning drain water from soaked black gram (рдХрд╛рд▓рд╛ рдЪрдирд╛) and kidney beans (рд░рд╛рдЬрдорд╛) and wash them with fresh water.
- Finely chop cashews (рдХрд╛рдЬреВ) and almonds (рдмрд╛рджрд╛рдо). Keep aside.
- Peel off the skin of tomato (рдЯрдорд╛рдЯрд░) by peeling it with peeler or by direct heating tomato (рдЯрдорд╛рдЯрд░) over fire. Keep aside.
- Peel ginger (рдЕрджрд░рдХ), garlic (рд▓рд╣рд╕реБрди). Keep aside.
- In a pressure cooker add soaked black gram (рдХрд╛рд▓рд╛ рдЪрдирд╛), kidney beans (рд░рд╛рдЬрдорд╛), green coriander (рд╣рд░рд╛ рдзрдирд┐рдпрд╛), curry leaves (рдХрдбрд╝реА рдкрддреНрддрд╛), skin peeled tomato (рдЯрдорд╛рдЯрд░), ginger (рдЕрджрд░рдХ), garlic (рд▓рд╣рд╕реБрди), black pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) powder, cumin seeds (рдЬреАрд░рд╛) and salt to taste.
- Add 6 bowls of water; cover the lid and cook up-to 2 – 3 whistles.
- Turn off the gas and let to pressure goes down normally.
- When pressure goes down check that black gram (рдХрд╛рд▓рд╛ рдЪрдирд╛) and kidney beans (рд░рд╛рдЬрдорд╛); make sure they must be cooked completely; if not cook more up-to 1 whistle.
- Now let the mixture cool completely in room temperature.
- After that make a fine pure of this mixture with the help of hand blander or mixture.
- In a deep heavy base pan heat oil and pour this mixture, cook on high heat until not boiled.
- Simmer the gas and cook for 5 minutes. Stair in between.
- Add fresh cream, tomato ketchup and soya sauce. Mix well and cook for more 2-3 minutes more.
- Your black gram and kidney beans soup is ready, turn off the gas and add few drops of lemon juice (рдиреАрдВрдмреВ рдХрд╛ рд░рд╕). Mix and serve hot by adding cashews (рдХрд╛рдЬреВ) and almonds (рдмрд╛рджрд╛рдо).

- If you want add croutonsand fresh cream while serving to enhance the taste of soup and make your presentation look better.
