This Black Gram Kidney Beans soup is first I made when I had cold and read over Google that Black Gram (เค•เคพเคฒเคพ เคšเคจเคพ) soup or curry dish is good for cough & cold; and guess what after drinking my cold goes away โ€“ in my case its work ๐Ÿ˜›. This soup is very easy to make and along with healthy soup this is a tasty soup also.

Black Gram Kidney Beans Soup good for cough and cold. Very easy to make.

Ingredients

Directions

  • Soak black gram (เค•เคพเคฒเคพ เคšเคจเคพ) and kidney beans (เคฐเคพเคœเคฎเคพ) overnight in warm water.
  • Next morning drain water from soaked black gram (เค•เคพเคฒเคพ เคšเคจเคพ) and kidney beans (เคฐเคพเคœเคฎเคพ) and wash them with fresh water.
  • Finely chop cashews (เค•เคพเคœเฅ‚) and almonds (เคฌเคพเคฆเคพเคฎ). Keep aside.
  • Peel off the skin of tomato (เคŸเคฎเคพเคŸเคฐ) by peeling it with peeler or by direct heating tomato (เคŸเคฎเคพเคŸเคฐ) over fire. Keep aside.
  • Peel ginger (เค…เคฆเคฐเค•), garlic (เคฒเคนเคธเฅเคจ). Keep aside.
  • In a pressure cooker add soaked black gram (เค•เคพเคฒเคพ เคšเคจเคพ), kidney beans (เคฐเคพเคœเคฎเคพ), green coriander (เคนเคฐเคพ เคงเคจเคฟเคฏเคพ), curry leaves (เค•เคกเคผเฅ€ เคชเคคเฅเคคเคพ), skin peeled tomato (เคŸเคฎเคพเคŸเคฐ), ginger (เค…เคฆเคฐเค•), garlic (เคฒเคนเคธเฅเคจ), black pepper (เค•เคพเคฒเฅ€ เคฎเคฟเคฐเฅเคš) powder, cumin seeds (เคœเฅ€เคฐเคพ) and salt to taste.
  • Add 6 bowls of water; cover the lid and cook up-to 2 – 3 whistles.
  • Turn off the gas and let to pressure goes down normally.
  • When pressure goes down check that black gram (เค•เคพเคฒเคพ เคšเคจเคพ) and kidney beans (เคฐเคพเคœเคฎเคพ); make sure they must be cooked completely; if not cook more up-to 1 whistle.
  • Now let the mixture cool completely in room temperature.
  • After that make a fine pure of this mixture with the help of hand blander or mixture.
  • In a deep heavy base pan heat oil and pour this mixture, cook on high heat until not boiled.
  • Simmer the gas and cook for 5 minutes. Stair in between.
  • Add fresh cream, tomato ketchup and soya sauce. Mix well and cook for more 2-3 minutes more.
  • Your black gram and kidney beans soup is ready, turn off the gas and add few drops of lemon juice (เคจเฅ€เค‚เคฌเฅ‚ เค•เคพ เคฐเคธ). Mix and serve hot by adding cashews (เค•เคพเคœเฅ‚) and almonds (เคฌเคพเคฆเคพเคฎ).

Notes

  • If you want add croutonsand fresh cream while serving to enhance the taste of soup and make your presentation look better.
