minutesThis Chilli Paneer Gravy is a fried cottage cheese cubes toasted in a sweet, sour atangy sauce. Can have main course dish or side dish both.
Ingredients
Cottage Cheese (рдкрдиреАрд░) – 200 grams
Garlic (рд▓рд╣рд╕реБрди) – 3 cloves
Ginger (рдЕрджрд░рдХ) – ┬╜ inch
Green Chilli (рд╣рд░реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) – 4
Capsicum (рд╢рд┐рдорд▓рд╛ рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) – 1 medium
Spring Pnion (рд╣рд░реА рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ) – 3
Black Pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) Crushed – ┬╜ tsp.
Celery (рдЕрдЬрд╡рд╛рдЗрди) ┬а–┬а 2 tbsp.
Sesame Oil (рддрд┐рд▓ рддреЗрд▓) ┬а–┬а 2 tbsp.
Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp.
Oil (рддреЗрд▓) as much required.
Water (рдкрд╛рдиреА) – 2 cup
Sugar (рдЪреАрдиреА) as required.
Salt as per taste.
Directions
- Dice cottage cheese (рдкрдиреАрд░). Chop spring onion (рд╣рд░реА рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ), ginger (рдЕрджрд░рдХ), and garlic (рд▓рд╣рд╕реБрди). Slice capsicum (рд╢рд┐рдорд▓рд╛ рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ). Slit green chillies (рд╣рд░реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ). Dissolve 1 tbsp. cornflour (рдХрд╛рд░реНрди рдлреНрд▓реЛрд░) in water. Keep aside.
- In a bowl mix diced cottage cheese (рдкрдиреАрд░), ┬╜ tsp. black pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) powder, 2 tbsp. cornflour (рдХрд╛рд░реНрди рдлреНрд▓реЛрд░) and salt as per taste.
- Deep fry this coated cottage cheese (рдкрдиреАрд░) till done, donтАЩt golden brown. Keep aside.
- Heat sesame (рддрд┐рд▓) oil in heavy base pan and add chopped spring onions (рд╣рд░реА рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ); saut├й till spring onions (рд╣рд░реА рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ) become translucent.
- Now add chopped ginger (рдЕрджрд░рдХ), garlic (рд▓рд╣рд╕реБрди) and saut├й till raw aroma goes away.
- After that add sliced capsicum (рд╢рд┐рдорд▓рд╛ рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) slit green chillies (рд╣рд░реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ). Saut├й till capsicum (рд╢рд┐рдорд▓рд╛ рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) half cooked.
- Add crushed black pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ), celery (рдЕрдЬрд╡рд╛рдЗрди) and pour water in it. Mix well.
- Add soy sauce, pinch of sugar, ┬╜ tsp. black pepper (рдХрд╛рд▓реА рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) powder, red chilli (рд▓рд╛рд▓ рдорд┐рд░реНрдЪ) powder and salt as per taste. Cook simmers for 2 minutes.
- Add cornflour (рдХрд╛рд░реНрди рдлреНрд▓реЛрд░) water in this mixture, mix well and cook till gravy thickens.
- Add fried cottage cheese (рдкрдиреАрд░) and cook simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green part of spring onion (рд╣рд░реА рдкреНрдпрд╛рдЬ) and serve hot with fried rice or chowmin.
