How to make chapattis: Making perfect, soft chapattis is an art; in fact, cooking itself is an art. In the old days, women cooked in their kitchens without modern food processors or other equipment. They didnโt use measuring cups or spoons, yet their meals often had an amazing homemade taste.
In India, roti is a regular part of everyday meals. Many Indian meals feel incomplete without soft, perfectly cooked Indian bread.
When I started learning to cook, I always avoided making chapattis. Later, I decided to give it a try. My first rotis were perfectly round but not soft. I tried again and again without success, and finally, I searched online. ๐ I found a Yahoo question where someone shared a simple method for making soft chapattis. The next time I followed that method, and my rotis turned out perfectly round and soft. Since then, I have been making them successfully. ๐
I also have one secret for making perfect soft Indian bread that I learned from my own experience, not from that Yahoo answerโฆ ๐ Well-kneaded dough is the key to soft chapattis. Knead your dough properly, and then see the magic!
