Onion Missi Roti

Onion Missi Roti

Missi Roti is a traditional Punjabi Indian bread often enjoyed for breakfast. You can make it by mixing wheat flour and gram flour with ingredients such as onion, methi, palak, or grated vegetables. In North Indian Punjabi families, people commonly serve Missi Roti with curd, pickle, dal, mix veg, methi aloo, aloo sabji, and many more dishes. What you add to Missi Roti and what you serve with it depends on your taste and what you have in your kitchen.

Some Punjabi families make Missi Roti with only onion, while others add fresh methi leaves or even leftover cooked dal. There are many ways to make it, so you can adjust it according to your preference.

I am not usually a big fan of Missi Roti, but I love Onion Missi Roti. So, today I am sharing my Onion Missi Roti Recipe. Iโ€™ll share more varieties of Missi Roti in the future. Until then, enjoy this recipe or try other flatbreads like Dal Thepla and Puran Poli.
